what is this? you don't accept private messages? How the hell are you supposed to read my drunk ramblings then?!

If we gotta do it this way, here we go:

it is past two in the morning, I've had about three liters of beer and killed a quarter of a bottle of Lagavulin in celebration, but I wanted to, beofre I'm utterly gone (listening to Liszt's Preludes, the world's finest victory tune, watching the bloody livestream from Cibeles), salute you - Madridista to Madridista.

Never throught we'd have THAT kind of game in us - thanks to a surprisingly toothless and bitchy Barcelona, but what the hell.

Hala Madrid - have some celebratory Xabi while I'm at it:

Photobucket

The Xabinista in me utterly begrudges how crowding him in in a three man defensive midfield and ordering him to play even more defensive than he's already forced to day in day out under Mourinho destroys most of what makes his football so breattakingly beautiful, but if that is how we one-up Barcelona - so be it!

Hala Madrid!

HI OMG HI. WHY DO I NOT HAVE YOU ADDED? WHEN DID YOU ADD ME? SKDJFLKSJDF I AM GOING TO GO ADD YOU RIGHT NOW HI.

I can't stop smiling. I can't stop tearing up when they show the celebration montages. I JUST CAN'T. I sound like I'm drunk but I'm really not, I promise. I just... I am currently incoherent and you're much more eloquent even though you're leaving me a drunk comment.

I don't really know what to say, I'm just elated that we won. So happy for Iker and now he's won EVERYTHING. I'm just... :D BUT MAYBE THIS WILL MAKE UP FOR XABI PLAYING A LITTLE MORE DEFENSIVELY THAN HE SHOULD.

I LOVE YOU. I LOVE EVERYONE RIGHT NOW. HALA MADRID.

yes, the love- forgive me, I love you too, of course - this day, any day, every day!

I have no bloody idea why we havent' been officially friended or whatever the heck term applies here - and you're about the 50th person to tell me that I'm eloquent when drunk - I don't know how I pull that offt o be honest.

Xabi! Keep talking! Keep the stubble growing! You better damn well jump into the bloody fountain and strip! And kiss Iker - he won a bloody cup after all, isn't kissing captains his "thing"?! If he only does that with Gerrard, one of those scousers will go down that train of thought eventually and then we'll never hear the end of it!

What the hell am I talking about, I don't bloody know - hey,. have you heard what they played when Iker received the trophy from his Majesty Juan Carlos? It had me bloody well choking on my beer when they played it it's from the German opera der Freischütz: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZNSdZtMueE&feature=related

that scene deals with a, underdog peasant winning a prize shooting competition over a royal huntsman - did they have any idea what they were putting on there? Did anyone there speak enough German to understand more of the lyrics than "Victoria, victoria, victoria"?!

before I end this - have some Xabi in my favorite jacket of his as a token of my everlasting appreciation:

Photobucket

these basterds better bloody make it to cibeles fast - i have uni in seven hours and haven't done any reading!

<333

I'm surprised you haven't started typing in German yet. ;) But to be honest, I don't use my LJ THAT much unless I have a lot of photos to post or if I'm commenting/lurking on Hala and Loews and ONTD_FB. So I probably didn't notice when you friended me or LJ just decided to conveniently forget to send me a notice. NEVERTHELESS, it has all worked out. :D

HAHAHA OMG. I think he'd kiss Arbeloa or Albiol or Sergio first, you know, someone in the four musketeers. :p After all he didn't kiss Iker when they won the World Cup or the Euros. BUT I DO WANT HIM TO KISS IKER. THAT WOULD BE THE CHERRY ON TOP. Though... even if he does, you know those scousers will still be crying for him to "come home". I don't know what you're on, but whatever it is, I LIKE IT.

I HEARD IT. I was trying to place the song I could have sworn I heard it somewhere before - but I definitely did not know the context. BUT EVEN MORE REASON TO LOVE REAL MADRID. PLAYING A GERMAN OPERA SONG IN CELEBRATION. Haha Sami and Mesut probably understood some of it. ;)

Something fun to note: Xavi Alonso was trending world wide on Twitter today.

PS: DON'T TRY TO GET UP AND WALK YOU MIGHT END UP LIKE XABI!!!

PPS: THEY SHOULD BE THERE SOON!!! ARBELOA TWEETED THAT THEY WERE IN MADRID ALREADY!

AND, FOR ME. ;)

Deutsche? Willste Deutsch, kannste haben! jederzeit! Immer! Hurra, Hurra, ein ganzer Bus ist da! Ein ganzer Bus voll Spanier!

nah, kidding - alles in Güte und Liebe, werter Herr Erbförster as they say at some point shortly after that victory scene in the Freischütz - I don't think Sami or Mesut are educated enough to properly place that, or rather puzzled at the lyrics - "victory, victory, long live the champion" though sincve Meister in German in a football sense only applies to winning the LEAGUE they probably think "strange Spaniards". All other titles ae DFB/UEFA-Pokalsieger or Champions League Sieger - so Cup winners or CL winners respectively.

I know one persona who'll definitly have been amused - reina Sofia, as she's from the German-Danish house of Schleswig Sonderburg Glücksburg, went to school in Germany for many years and speaks perfect German. She'll also be opera-savvy enough to properly place that.l

but I'm boing you, so whatz elese was there?

Yes, friendling! I friended you about 30 seconds after I was unable to send you a message, so no worries there-

and poor Xabi to have his name mutilated on twitter AND trending. if he has another son one of these days, he should just name him Xavi and pressure him to go into footie. would always be a laugh especially for german commentators, who cannopt for the life of them, verbally discern between Xavi and Xabi anyway - drives me mad, especially when I'm out of the room and relying on audio to keep me posted on what happens in the match.

and yes - I walk a bit like that now I'm afraid. that will be a fun day at uni in a few hours - I'll wear the jersey and scarf and when the professor asks me to participate with anything, I'll just dro into my low singing-baritone and go CAMPEONES, CAMPEONES, OE OE OE!

Iker, I swear to God I am so happy for him - an d I also was afraid he'ds pull another world Cup final again and start sobbing uncontrolably again with three minutes on the clock and hen Iniesta would put one past him.-

Photobucket

good boy kept the floodgates closed until after the final whistle.- how can you not love this man? in general, I mean? Impossible.

I should see to get to Rome some time soon and stand under the window of good old Benedict shouting "Iker santo subito!" until the old man gives in and declares him a proper living saint!

what worries me though, is that other iker - the one in the tank.- Honestly - to call him IKER?!

either way - all hail my new cephaloid overlord!

what I need now is lots of this:

Photobucket

only more drunk and less dressed!

She was probably too busy being enamored with Iker when he kissed her on both cheeks and then hugged her. ;) And haha you're right, Sami and Mesut probably didn't understand the song as they're probably being horribly influenced by Sergio Ramos and his flamenco. Or they're just corrupting themselves with rap.

(haha I can see you slipping up a little. I love your drunk ramblings and vast expanse of knowledge)

YOU KNOW. You should get Twitter some day. Xabi is on Twitter too. ;) But hahaha, maybe Nagore will give birth to another boy and then they can name him Xavi. Xabi and Xavi. Xavi Alonso should play in midfield too. Don't worry, most commentators butcher Xabi and Xavi... American commentators are the worst. CHUBBY ALONSO. CHABBY ALONSO. SHABBY ALONSO. The list goes on.

You should just skip class and nurse your inevitable hangover. ;)

BUT IKER. OMG IKER. HE WAS JUST SO GIDDY AFTER THE FINAL WHISTLE. He was skipping. And then he did some weird dance with Pepe in the corner on the field after they had started passing around the cup. HE DESERVES EVERYTHING.

LOL PULPO IKER. BUT HEY. Pulpo Iker was right! I like Pulpo Iker! The other one was called Iniesta. :p

Yes. A drunk Iker and a drunk Xabi. Both preferably half-naked.

Though Xabi might not approve. ;)

I'm not slipping, I'm damn well sliding by now, hehe.

but I'nm afraid there won't be much of a hangover - I barely get any, ever. I don't know if that isdue to me being physically superior to the average drinker or the fact that I try to avoid drinking cheap alcohol and thus don't have to deal with the headache-inducing sugar and fusel components, but I usually don't suffer, regarless of the quantities I drink, as long as I don't knock myself out completely.

yeah - going off on tangents, wohoo!

tell me about the american commentators - whenever I happen to come across an american stream, half of the stuff they TELL makes me go prematurely grey, leave alone the pronounciation.

Xabi needs to losen up a little - will never happen if I join twitter, though - I'd pester him about ditching Gillette and growing his beard out again until he goes before the European court to get the first online restraining order ever.

Iker is my hero - squid AND goaLie Iker. Iniesta the squid can go feed himself to some walrus - shouldn't they have one called del Bosque when they go naming Sea Life creatures after their famous footballers?

And what would Xabi be? A penguin? A seal (he sure sounds like one when singing, oh god)? ot the city zoo, they used to have a penguin who'd climb up the artificial rocks and waddle along the wall right to the middle of the penguin pond exhibition and sit ther,e majestically, head raised, squinting his beady little eyes in utter bliss while the visitors would gnetly stroke him. Have you ever stroked a penguin? marvellous stuff. they look all slikc like Ronalso on a bad hair day, but they feel very warm and smooth.

tangents, goodamnit!

I think you're close to sinking right now. I just read your entire comment and actually laughed because you made so much sense and so little sense at the same time that I couldn't help it. My roommate is currently here and she's giving me weird looks, but I DON'T CARE. Hahaha omg. Also, there's nothing wrong with tangents. They're as close as you can get to perfection when you're drunk. ;)

HAHAHAHA. SORRY. I JUST END UP LAUGHING AT EVERY OTHER SENTENCE.

BUT OMG THE BUS IS HERE. IT'S FINALLY HERE. I WONDER HOW DRUNK THEY ARE NOW.

American commentators are the worst. I always try to find a Spanish stream whenever possible. And after that, a German stream. :) What they tell you is complete BS. NONE OF IT IS TRUE AND ALL OF IT IS STUPID OR REDUNDANT.

I think he gets bombarded by tons of messages every day anyway. So I don't think one more person would bother him. ;) HINT HINT JOIN TWITTER. SO YOU CAN DRUNK TWEET TOO.

Iniesta the squid can go feed himself to some walrus
MY FAVORITE PART OF YOUR COMMENT.

Xabi would be a penguin. He looks good in a tuxedo.

OMG YOUR TANGENTS. TELL ME MORE. ;)

glad my tangents make you happy!

nah, joining twitter would be redundant because I don't own a smartphone and even if I only write when on some computer, what I have to say is not nearly significant enough to be warranting a twitter.

you're right on with Xabi being a penguin - the TUX I didn't evne think about.

one more tangent - seeing iker repeatedly kiss the escudo tonight reminds me of how he's one of maye at best FIVE footballers I don't get uncomortable or very annoyed at when I see them kiss it - he LIVES Madrid. nothing worse than seeing someone kiss or slap a crest who has transferred maybe half a year ago. or is currently at his 4th or so club. and BLOODY HELL does Iker look good in our white field players jersey, or what?! I wonder if the cup is still in one piece... its good some random guy is holding him up while he drapes the flag and not sergio ramos...

so, now I'll look at the boys for another ten minutes or so and then try to slep off a bit of that alcohol, but I'll leavue you with my favorite observation of just now:

we need to win more trohpies - possibly one every week, because as we clearly see righ now, if Xabi has no time to shaave and we keep him up well past his bedtime, there is wenough stubble growing by the time they reach cibeles we can actually pretend he's growing his bloody beard out again!

I wish you and your roomate the best of nights and depart with one last HALA MADRID!

okay, and some xabi, looking the way I feel deep down right now:

Photobucket

I don't have a smart phone either... BUT THAT SHALL BE REMEDIED SOON. Haha it's okay, I shall just patiently wait for your occasional comments of brilliance (and hilarity). But just so you know, nothing anyone says on Twitter is significant... except maybe, Xabi. His tweets are significant.

But yes, the tux. Xabi looks good in them. But it would be fun to watch him waddle from side to side.

YOU READ MY MIND. I love it when Iker kisses the escudo. (hence my icon) I love him. Period. He, like Raul, is Madrid. They're both immense in their own right and I just have no words when it comes to how much I respect and adore him. AND YES THE WHITE JERSEY. He should really wear white more often. He looks so good in it. Too bad he'll probably come up with some weird jersey for himself next season.

LOL THE CUP. THEY PLAYED "I WILL SURVIVE". I HOPE THE CUP SURVIVED. I CAN'T BELIEVE THE BUS RAN IT OVER. OMG.

I was disappointed, there wasn't a lot of Xabi tonight. :( BUT HE DID LOOK HAPPY WHEN HE WAS JUMPING AROUND WITH EVERYONE ELSE.

GOOD NIGHT. GOOD LUCK TOMORROW. ;) EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE HANGOVERS.

HALA MADRID ♥

I HOPE YOU HAD A GOOD NIGHT'S REST.

HERE IS SOME XABI TO HELP YOU POWER THROUGH THE DAY.

and it did the trick, luv - woke up more tired than I went to bed but this was as brilliant a start to my day as I've ever had one - so many thanks for that!

I'll go hit the rack for a bit now, then get back up to watch this weeks worth of Colbert and Daily Show and check lj for some more pictures of celebrating Madridistas - I might even be brave enough to trust my nerves to endure taking a closer look into the Hala Madrid (or shall I say Hala Mourinho?) post match thread - haven't been in one for ages...

Since I suspect you know all the Xabi I'm able to offer you, allow me to leave you with some vintage Metzelder:

Photobucket

this is from his first or second senior team callup in 2001.

Haha, well I don't know if you'd want to venture into hala_madrid but... I know a lot of people miss you there. :D But if you want photos, I'd more than happy to upload a zip/rar file of over 400 photos that I have saved! Let me know. :)

METZE♥ :D

And have some celebrating Xabi to start off your weekend!

And this:

God, Ramos - you eternal klutz.

I CAN'T BELIEVE HE DROPPED IT. HE'S SO DRUNK.
